Get to Know D’Artagnan Winford

Q: Most artists have a point in their life when they knew this was meant for them. Do you have that moment?

A: I knew this was my calling when I received an unrequested video testimonial from a client who unbeknownst to me had had some mental health issues. She told me about how the photos that I showed her on the back of the camera made her feel beautiful and brought her confidence. I knew then that my talent was meant to touch people.

“I knew then that my talent was meant to touch people.”

Q: What does the Sue Bryce Education community mean to you?

A:  I love the community and the comradery it brings. I’m always encouraged to see people post their sales and accomplishments.

“I love the community and the comradery it brings.”

Q: Making a connection with your subject is one of the most important parts of a great portrait. How do you make lasting connections with your clients?

A: I engage my clients from the door. We talk and get to know each other.  They leave as new friends who return and send my name to their friends and family.

“They leave as new friends . . .”

Q: What fellow artists in the industry do you gain the most inspiration from?

A: Some of my favorites are Dayron Vera, Maxim Vakhovskly, Bryce Chapman and Jeremy Cowart.
