Replicate the Light

Join us for our Replicate the Light course! The beginning of this course is actually a Facebook LIVE event with Sue. She will walk you through a lot of the questions that fellow photographers had about different shoots that she has taught. Then, at about 39 minutes in, you will get to the replicate the light challenge. Sue’s followers chose a photo of Beyonce that they wanted Sue to teach how to replicate the light on.

Watch as Sue takes a directional light and a beauty dish to create this replica of Beyonce’s portrait. This look uses a hot, high suspended light which is the direct opposite of everything Sue usually teaches. You will see how she pushes herself out of her comfort zone to create a gorgeous replica.

The end of this course focuses on Sue comparing different photos showing different lighting to teach how to achieve different looks. Then she shows you a few retouching tricks. This is a fantastic course if you are wanting to break out of your lighting shell. Challenge yourself to master the light. If you can master the light then you will be successful no matter whatever photoshoot situation you’re in.
