Jana has been creating award-winning photography for over 30 years. She is a Master Photographer in the California Bay Area with a focus on portraiture, headshots, and performing arts imagery. Jana started her career as a documentary photographer and received many prestigious awards including Best Photos of the Year in 2004 and 2005 by Photo District News of New York and was named one of "50 Exceptional International Photographers" by Exposure of New York in 2012. Her photodocumentary "Transfigurations" received the Best LGBT Non-Fiction Book of 2012 by the Independent Publishers Book Awards of New York. Jana's work has been exhibited across the United States and extensively published in newspapers and magazines. She is the author of three books and her most current title, "Line of Blood," a true crime adventure, is now a popular podcast. Jana holds an MFA in photography and a BA in visual anthropology/community studies.
